Wow, haven't posted anything for a while. Sorry, the internet at my house crashed, right now I'm at work posting this (although I'm not supposed to browse internet). Here's some puzzles:

1) How can you throw a ball as hard as you can and have it come back to you, even if it doesn't hit anything, there is nothing attached to it, and no one else catches or throws it?

2) A square medieval castle on a square island was under siege. All around the island, there was a 10 metre wide water moat. But the conquerors could make foot-bridges only 9.5 metres long. Nevertheless a wise man was able to figure out how to get over the water. What do you think was his advice? There's a place on the other side to put the bridge against, not just a sheer wall. the water moat has square corners - that section of the moat is about 14.1 metres wide.)

This puzzle requires lots of thinking: You are given two boxes with a number inside each box. The two numbers are different but you have no idea what they are. You pick one box to open; read the number inside; and then guess if the number in the other box is larger or smaller. You win if you guess correctly, and lose otherwise. Is there anyway that you can win the game with more than 50% chances no matter what the two numbers are?

This is an interesting logic game, in which you need to connect each color with the other space with the same color. I don't think you understood the explanation, so click on help in the game menu. The original version stores your progress, but on the embedded version I'm not sure.

Christmas-y Jigsaw

Getting into the Christmas spirit, I decided to bring you a Christmas-themed jigsaw puzzle. Again, it's embedded, so don't worry about going to a third-party site. I will post other Christmas-themed puzzles. Also, you can change the difficulty of the puzzle by clicking change cut, to select the shape and number of the pieces.

Escape Jail

Not like the other one though, this one isn't a word game, this one is just pure logic. It's really not that tough of a puzzle. The answer is quite interesting though.

Two convicts are locked in a cell. There is an unbarred window high up in the cell. No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape. They then decide to tunnel out. However, they give up with the tunnelling because it will take too long. Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell. What is his plan?

Jigsaw Puzzle

Here's a jigsaw puzzle. No, you won't have to go to another site that isn't Mighty Puzzles, since I can enbed. What's enbedding? It's actually a long story, but to make a long story short, it's as if the puzzle was in this site. In case you don't know what a jigsaw puzzle is (which I seriously doubt) you need to join each piece so that they fit perfectly, with the purpose being to recreate an image. This puzzle will have you banging your head to the wall trying to solve it, and when you do, you'll have a good laugh at how you couldn't solve it.

A man is sitting in a pub feeling rather poor. He sees the man next to him pull a wad of £50 notes out of his wallet. Finally, after all the weird number puzzles I've posted, I bring you a Sudoku. You've probably already played one, but in case you haven't, the rules are simple. Just put the numbers 1-9 on every 3x3 square, with no number repeating itself in each row, column, or 3x3 grid. There is only one solution. Today I bring you an Average one, just so you can practice before I go to the more complex ones. Enjoy!

Really Difficult Puzzle

This time, I bring you a nearly-impossible puzzle. The rules are simple, but the puzzle isn't. Below is a very special grid, around each shaded number are 8 white squares. However, each white square should have a number from 1 to 7. Once filled in, these 8 numbers will sum to the shaded number. In addition, once completed correctly, no row nor column will contain a duplicate number within a white square. For example, the top row may be 5 6 4 2 3 1 7, etc. This is solvable without the aid of a computer. You should team up with some of your friends, like they say, two heads are better than one! Anyways, here it is:

Today I bring you a kakuro, the rules are simple and similar to those of sudoku, you have to fill in the squares so that when added they match the number shown, also, numbers may not be repeated in the same row or column. You can only use numbers 1-9 Sounds easy? Well, this one is easy, but there are others that are nearly impossible.

A paradox is a question that contradicts itself, and can leave you wondering what's going on, don't worry if you can't answer them, as most of these aren't answerable, just leave your theories, thoughts, etc in the comments, I want to see what everyone thinks about them, well here they are:

1) This statement is false.

2) The following sentence is true. The previous sentence is false.

3) Two boxes are labelled "A" and "B". A sign on box A says "The sign on box B is true and the gold is in box A". A sign on box B says "The sign on box A is false and the gold is in box A". Assuming there is gold in one of the boxes, which box contains the gold?

Today I bring you quite a couple of puzzles, here they are! Can you solve all four of them? If not, ask your friends to help you!

1.) Two girls are born to the same mother, on the same day, at the same time, in the same month and year and yet they're not twins. How can this be?

2.) Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager, and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives $5 to the bellboy to return. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totaling $27. The bellboy has $2, totaling $29. Where is the remaining dollar?

3.) Two children, who were all tangled up in their reckoning of the days of the week, paused on their way to school to straighten matters out. "When the day after tomorrow is yesterday," said Priscilla, then 'today' will be as far from Sunday as that day was which was 'today' when the day before yesterday was tomorrow!" On which day of the week did this puzzling prattle occur?

4.) There are a few trees in a garden. On one of them, a pear tree, there are pears (obviously). But after a strong wind blew, there were neither pears on the tree nor on the ground. How come?

Hey everyone, sorry I didn't post yesterday but it was my brother's birthday so you probably know why I didn't... I was planning a surprise party all day long, and it finished at about 3 AM. Anyways, here's the puzzle: You are stuck in a room with no windows and no doors. There is a hole in the floor about a half a meter deep and just wider than the diameter of a table tennis ball. There is a table tennis ball at the bottom of the hole. You have a fork, a wrench, and a long, thin plastic wire. How do you get the ball out of the hole?

Camels, Bulls And A Whole Bunch Of Eggs

Before money was invented, people exchanged their trade goods directly for other goods or services. Blacksmiths would charge their fees (like sword making or horseshoeing) not in gold or silver, but for a goat or healthy bull. In those times you would know how much these services would cost, either in chickens or berries. In order to get, let's say a camel, you would need something to exchange it for. So here is a rather simple mathematical puzzle.
"A camel is worth as much as 2 bulls and 1 ostrich egg . One bull is worth 2 sheep. 5 chickens are equal to 2 sheep. One chicken is worth as much as 4 eggs. How many eggs is a camel worth?"

If you remember the film Astrix & Obelix, then you probably remember Getafix's (the druid) grandfather. He was the old, fungus covered, druid (with a really long beard), that lived in the nearby cave. But before he would give them the ancient unicorns milk, which they needed to fight the romans, they were asked to answer a riddle. This riddle is a similar one and you must not think only what the words mean, but also the words them selfs.

"I start at the end of time, I begin in eternity. I appear 3 times per week, but only once in a thousand years. What am I?"

Three Hats

The magician puts 3 black hats and 2 white hats in a big box. He asks three volunteers (we will call them A, B and C) to come and reach into the box and place one of the hats on their own head.
The volunteers cannot see which color is the hat they choose.

The person A is situated in a way that he can see the hats on person B and C's heads. The person B can only see the hat on C's head.
The person C cannot see any hats.

The magician asks all three volunteers to name the color of their hats.

The person A said that he doesn't know the color of the hat he is wearing.
The person B also didn't know the color of the hat he is wearing.
The third person said that he knows the color of his hat. And he answered correctly.
